There are so many couples on celluloid that fans love and adore the world over, even if they aren’t hitched in real life. These TV couples have won the hearts of many, and even broken a few with their performance on screen.
Often, when we regularly follow television serials, we tend to get involved in the characters so much, that we forget that they are fictional. There are many such on-screen couples who earned a great fan following owing to their awesome chemistry.
Carrie and Mr Big (Sex and the City): Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth play the unforgettable couple in the famous HBO series Sex and the City, where they are involved in a complicated on and off relationship.
Eric and Donna (That ’70s Show):Who can forget the adorable couple from That ’70s show? The adorable shy guy Eric played by Topher Grace and the funny next door neighbor Donna played by Laura Prepon, still remain to be one of the most popular TV couples of all time.
Gregg & Dharma (Dharma and Gregg): They were certainly not the next-door couple but the ditzy cute hippy ‘Dharma’ and the perfect classy lawyer ‘Gregg’ made a wonderful couple – loved and adored by the audiences.
Homer & Marge (The Simpsons): The Simpsons are one of the most popular families on American television. They truly represent a realistic American couple and are hence one of the popular ones.
Jesse and Rebecca (Full House): Well, one of the best couples of old school sitcoms remain to be John Stamos and Lori Loughlin, who play the adorable Uncle Jesse and Aunt Rebecca to the three Tanner sisters.
Luke and Lorelai (Gilmore Girls): The Gilmore girls are truly lovely when it comes to matters of the heart. The romance between single mom Lorelai (played by Lauren Graham) and the local restaurant owner Luke (Scott Patterson) makes for one of the cutest couples on television.
Paul and Jamie (Mad About You): Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt are one of the most famous TV couples who floored the audience as a newly married couple on the television sitcom series Mad About You.
Rachel and Ross (Friends): Who can ever forget the on-off and “we-were-on-a-break” relationship between Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Ross (David Schwimmer) in the popular sitcom Friends. Right from their first kiss in season two and their final patch up in the finale, the audience truly loved this couple!
Sam and Diane (Cheers): Sam the Bartender (Ted Danson) and Diane the waitress (Shelley Long) from the hit sitcom Cheers showcase the kind of love that is fleeting, flirtatious, and above all, hilarious to witness.
Will & Grace (Will & Grace): Although not linked romantically, Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace(Debra Messing) represented a one-of-its-kind couple who represented the epitome of comfort and friendship. My personal favorite – Will, a gay lawyer and Grace, an eccentric interior designer are a TV couple that is truly unique and special!
