Earlier only physical beauty of contestants was taken into account in beauty pageants. But with changing times, most pageants now include a pageant interview question round, thus, judging the intelligence along with beauty. So now, beauty with brains is what is looked for! So, if you are dreaming of that much coveted glittering crown, here are some pageant interview questions for your help.

In the words of Plato, "Truth is beauty, beauty is truth". Beauty in its various forms, including a woman's beauty, is being appreciated right from Plato's time (though the ways of expressing and appreciating beauty have changed!). And it's almost been a century since pageant contests are being held. The Miss America Pageant was first held in Atlantic City on 7th September, 1921. But the contest was not called 'Miss America Pageant' back then, it was called the 'Inter-City Beauty Contest'. And beauty contests have seen a huge transformation since then; giving birth to 'Miss World Contest' in 1951 and 'Miss Universe' Contest in 1952.
One of the most important rounds of beauty contests is the pageant interview question round. Aspiring beauty queens concentrate more on physical appearance and tend to ignore the intellectual part of the contest. But pageant interviews is the trickiest and the most important part of the competition. Also, it is depending on the answers given by the contestants that the judges make their final decision.
Interesting Pageant Interview Questions
Usually, the third round of a pageant is the question round. Each judge gets a chance to ask a question. The questions can be based on anything, ranging from Hollywood to home science and the contestants have only a few minutes to answer! So presence of mind is very important. The answer neither should be too long and nor should it be monosyllabic. You should be able to justify your answer, and not be confused about it. Also, it is advisable to be diplomatic. The key is to be confident in whatever you say.

The key to the crown in the end, is confidence, as most of these questions are subjective, and don't have a right or wrong answer. However, you can use these interview questions to ensure that you are prepared with at least a few answers beforehand!
