As a child, my Sunday mornings began by watching my favorite cartoon shows. I used to wake up at 6 a.m. to watch them and never complained about being up that early. I had all the names of the characters memorized and had watched almost all the episodes. Although my frequency of watching cartoons has come down considerably, I still remember those days and return to my childhood whenever I see one of my favorite cartoons on television. Of course, nowadays there are many new cartoons like South Park, The Simpsons, Pokémon, and other Asian cartoons that have become more famous among kids and some adults. But there are tons of classic cartoons that have the same charm they once possessed. Which is why, I’d like to make a list of cartoon characters that may have been your favorite (childhood) cartoon series to watch.

However, before we begin, I want to mention that we will be listing some of the more famous characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Warner Bros. (Looney Tunes), and Hanna-Barbera. You may find the list short, but it certainly is a start. If you would like to include more names to our list, please do leave us a comment below. The Walt Disney Company

Walt Disney was established in 1923 by two brothers, Walt and Roy Disney. Today, it is one of the biggest Hollywood studios, most popularly recognized for its enormous list of famous cartoons. I am sure, whether you are a kid or an adult, you can recite almost all the characters’ names of the Disney cartoon from 101 Dalmatians, Beauty and the Beast, Chicken Little, Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers, Goof Troop, Hercules, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Pocahontas, Robin Hood, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, TaleSpin, Tarzan, The Jungle Book, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and Winnie the Pooh. Pixar Animation Studios

Pixar Animation Studios is known for the CGI animated feature films and short films. Starting from Toy Story, which released in 1995, Pixar has released 12 feature films (so far) and 4 more are in production. Apart from the cartoons mentioned in the following list, other successful and noteworthy Pixar films are A Bug’s Life, Cars (series), Monsters, Inc., Ratatouille, WALL-E, and Up. Reading Marvel comic books used to be my favorite pass time. I remember fighting with my cousin over the comic books and finally, ending the fight and reading them together.
