Sunday, the 16th of January 2011, will be yet another golden date written in the Golden Globe winners history. It was on this day the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards was presented to the much deserving winners. The Golden Globe Awards 2011 was hosted by Ricky Gervais, the British comedian and creator of The Office. The ceremony was telecast live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The Golden Globe Award is presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). This award recognizes excellence in film and television, domestic as well as foreign production. If you have a look at the Golden Globes winners history, it was first presented January 1944. Golden Globe Awards ceremony is held every year in the month of January. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association came up with this grand ceremony with a humble beginning. It was a group of journalists' who wanted to recognize all the talent and cover every aspects in the entertainment world. These prestigious Globes awards are one of the three most popular, widely acclaimed and most watched award shows on television. Winner of the Golden Globe 2011 ~ Cecil B. deMille Award

The Cecil B. deMille Award 2011 was handed over to Robert De Niro this year. The Cecil B. deMille Award is a lifetime achievement award in motion pictures. This award is given in honor of one of the most celebrated and successful filmmaker Cecil B. deMille (1881-1959).
These were all the Golden Globe winners 2011. The night shimmered with the advent of the stars on earth moving around the ballroom, chatting up with friends and congratulating the winners. The party had just begun after the ceremony. The stars strode into the 6 different party venues inside the Beverly Hilton hotel.
