‘Rocky’ing Fact
On December 7, 2010, Sylvester Stallone was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and Museum, for paying tribute to boxers in writing and creating the underdog character of Rocky.
The ‘Rocky’ movie series is a very inspirational set of films that portrays Sylvester Stallone’s journey as a boxer. The story begins when Rocky Balboa is shown to be a struggling boxer, and is not aware of his potential as a boxer. His ex-trainer Mickey believes he can excel in the boxing ring only with sheer determination and hard work. Once, when the heavyweight champion of the world, Apollo Creed chooses Rocky at random as his opponent in a game, Rocky realizes he can box better and has the potential to do it. He now has a goal ahead of him to accomplish. In parallel to his boxing life, Rocky meets Adrian, who later becomes his girlfriend and wife.
The series is written by Sylvester Stallone himself, and is produced by Robert Chartoff and Irwin Winkler. Being the writer, Stallone found an opportunity to pen some inspirational lines, which later became famous quotations. Check out some of these, as well as other quotes related to love and life in general, used in these films.
